The role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Heating Manager in Camden. London.

Salary: £50,000 - £57,000
Location:  Hybrid working, 2 or 3 days required in the office in Camden

Our DLO provides gas and heating repairs and servicing to residents, and the service is also supported by external contractors. Our aim is to provide a first class, customer focused service for heating, gas and alternative technologies.  

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Effective line management of the Heating Team, leading, managing and motivating the team to deliver a customer focused service.  
  • Managing the service delivering communal and domestic boiler servicing, repair and installation ensuring that excellent levels of compliance are maintained.
  • Ensuring safe working practises are adhered to and works are delivered on time, in budget and to a high standard meeting statutory, regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Be the principal Duty Holder for Gas and be responsible for keeping the Gas KPI at 100%
  • Preparing, managing, and monitoring the gas and heating budget and attending budget review meetings.
  • Ensuring data is captured and managed accurately, produce management reports and ensure that all statutory, regulatory and policy requirements are complied with always.
  • Supporting Senior Managers to monitor and manage third party contractor performance to achieve agreed service levels
  • Investigating complaints (informal and formal) and expressions of dissatisfaction with the service, analysing and capturing lessons learnt

What you will need to succeed

We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and is friendly and positive. The successful candidate will:

  • Gas safety management, including previous management of a DLO
  • Minimum domestic ACS & Commercial qualified
  • Line Management experience, within a social housing environment.
  • Computer literate and skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel and Office
  • Data management skills
  • Budget Management skills
  • Project Management
  • Full driving licence
