We are looking for an Gas Engineer (1 post) to join our Repairs team in Lancashire.Reporting to the Team Leader (Gas) you will deliver gas services and repairs in line with group standards and key performance indicators, always ensuring a high standard, observing all legal, statutory and regulatory requirements whist undertaking repair activities within customer homes, empty properties and for other clients as required.In line with Onwards specification or approved best practice assess, you will co-ordinate and undertake the most cost-effective repair solution delivering value for money. Organising materials, providing detailed information, effectively communicating with customers, other stakeholders and colleagues to deliver a high-quality service.You will provide excellent customer service whilst ensuring prompt work of the required standard and liaise with clients, customers and colleagues regarding access, safe working practices, and assessment of repairs requirements and progress of repairs, ensuring all work is delivered to a high standard.Undertaking work activities in line with all health and safety requirements you will demonstrate a sound working knowledge of key legislative health and safety information and safe working practices and assist the promotion of Health & Safety. Operation of Electronic testing equipment and powered hand tools in accordance with recognised safety procedures will be required as part of the role and you will be responsible for the safe use and daily maintenance of allocated Company vehicles.It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of Gas servicing, repairs and fault diagnosis working to Gas Safety (installation & use) regulations, experience of working in a customer focussed service, a proven ability to deliver a quality customer centred service and experience of working in a target driven environment. Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, regulation and ACOPS relevant to the post and associated tasks undertaken within it, in line with HASAWA 1974 is also essential.All posts are recruited to the recruitment salary and movement to the confirmed salary is based on successful completion of a 6 month probation.
