About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Heating Engineer to join Responsive Heating Team, primarily working within our West patch. This role will ensure that repairs / servicing and breakdowns are carried out, providing a timely, efficient, and high standard of work to our properties. This is a key role in ensuring that our homes are maintained to a high standard, for us to provide an excellent service to our residents and to ensure that we fulfil our legal obligations, so if you want to help make a difference to our residents, this may be the job for you!

The duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • To work as part of responsive heating team, ensuring that Broadland's properties are maintained to the required standard, being responsible for delivering a responsive and efficient reactive repair service and to carry out an annual gas servicing programme to maintain gas compliance for the organisation without supervision.
  • To support the completion of the planned heating installations for gas, oil and renewable systems, when and if needed. To ensure new boilers and system installations are carried out efficiently and effectively and to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • To ensure all heating and gas works, day-to-day reactive repairs and installations are carried out in accordance with Broadland procedures and carried out in accordance with the latest regulations. and best practices
  • Manage and prioritise own workload on a day-to-day basis with regard to the day-to-day reactive and cyclical servicing programme and assist with any other works as required.
  • Manage a robust van stock and manage work completions via a mobile device application.

    About You

    The successful candidate will have experience of working as a qualified Heating Engineer and will be CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CKR1, UVHWS and EEDH qualified, as well as being Gas Safe Registered.

    It would be beneficial if the successful candidate has experience of working within Social Housing and has experience of renewable heating systems, including ASHP, Solar Thermal, HR and MVHR, and holds an accredited qualification to BPEC level or equivalent. As well as being IT literate, candidates should have good literacy and numeracy skills, as well as excellent communication skills. A driving licence and DBS Check are essential requirements of the role.
