Key Responsibilities
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on commercial gas, heating, and HVAC systems. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, including basic electrical fault finding. Undertake new installations and major or minor repair works on gas/heating systems. Maintain plant rooms and ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards. Manage contractors, monitor workmanship, and issue permits to work. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and COSHH requirements. Accurately complete documentation, compliance records, and administrative tasks. Participate in the callout rota and provide professional client liaison to ensure satisfaction.Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Commercial Gas Qualifications: COCN1 or CODNC1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1. Domestic Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1.City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, or related mechanical discipline. Gas Safe Registered, with IPAF/PASMA certification and a full UK driving licence. Significant experience in commercial gas, heating, and combustion maintenance, including fault finding and installations. Familiarity with FM or building services environments and strict health & safety procedures. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage high-risk works. Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
