We are looking for an engineer with experience in PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding, and installation work, who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Your expertise will help our clients maintain business continuity, achieve operational goals, and ensure compliance across their critical mechanical and HVAC infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver PPM, proactive, and reactive maintenance for commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC systems within agreed timeframes. Carry out general building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and associated tasks. Provide out-of-hours callout cover as required by the client rota. Undertake major and minor repair works and new installations on client gas and heating systems. Diagnose and repair system and plant faults, including basic electrical fault finding. Maintain plant rooms, storage spaces, and workshops to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Monitor contractors’ work on-site, ensuring compliance and issuing Permits to Work as required. Support service delivery teams by fostering collaboration and sharing technical expertise.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience in commercial gas, combustion, and heating-related building services maintenance. Strong background in fault finding, routine maintenance, and installation work. Extensive experience delivering both Reactive and PPM tasks within commercial property environments. Proven track record working in Facilities Management (FM) or building services roles.

Qualifications – Commercial Gas (must include):

COCN1 or CODNC1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1

Qualifications – Domestic Gas (must include):

CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1

Technical Certifications:

City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)

Registrations & Licences:

Gas Safe Registered IPAF / PASMA Full UK Driving Licence
