Job Summary
The Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for servicing and carrying out remedial repairs on commercial heating boilers within both occupied and void properties across London. The role requires delivering work to a high standard, in line with current gas legislation, and meeting requirements in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
Service and repair commercial heating boilers, associated plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements
Carry out full commissioning of gas heating boilers and associated controls following installation, servicing or reactive works
Diagnose faults effectively and undertake necessary repairs or replacement of defective components across commercial heating and hot water systems
Drain down and refill heating systems to facilitate plant replacement and repair
Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, including risk assessments and asbestos awareness
Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota where required
Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested
Person Specification
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
Clear understanding of commercial boilers, plant and associated controls
Experience working on HIUs desirable but not essential
Domestic ACS qualifications desirable but not essential
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Asbestos awareness certification
Knowledge and understanding of risk assessment processes
Team-oriented approach
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications: COCN1 or CODNCO1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A
City & Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Full UK Driving Licence
