  • Annual salary of £16,224 (FTE)
  • Fixed term role (4 years)
  • Full-time (39 hours) (including time in college)
  • Field based role working across Merseyside

The role

This is a 4-year plumbing and domestic heating apprenticeship working alongside gas safe engineers and plumbers learning new skills on the job and also in college. While completing your apprenticeship you will be supported in learning and providing the following:

  • Excellent customer service to all customers.
  • Assisting with repairs and maintenance on a full range of heating systems.
  • Assisting with the installation of new and refurbished heating systems using a full range of techniques and materials.
  • You will also assist with routine testing and inspection of all types of gas/heating systems.
  • Adhering to existing working practices, methods, procedures and undertaking relevant training.
  • Complying with relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.

The training will take place weekly during term time in a college (college dependent on area).

The right fit

  • You have a genuine interest in working in the gas industry.
  • Have a GCSE or equivalent standard in Maths and English (Grade 4 or above).
  • You have a positive approach to completing relevant courses and qualifications.
  • Flexibility towards varied work and schedules.
  • Excellent customer service skills and punctuality.
  • Ability to demonstrate organisational and planning skills.
